Freddie tries to keep out of sight in the canteen at Borchester College, as he doesn't want Lily to find him. Johnny comforts Freddie over getting a poor grade his Maths resit and also mentions that Tom's in a weird mood and won't confide in him. Lily tracks them down and can immediately tell Freddie has failed his Maths. When Johnny learns that Elizabeth is going to be away at a wedding show, he suggests a party at Lower Loxley. Lily thinks it's a good idea and it raises Freddie's spirits.

Kirsty and Helen meet for lunch at Grey Gables - Helen's treat, as a thank you for last year. They chat about Rob not contesting the divorce - Kirsty suspects he's up to something but Helen's not worrying. They also tease Roy over his assignation with Tracy. His comment about doing something you regret after a drink strikes a chord with Kirsty.

Helen reveals to Kirsty that she knows she's pregnant but not in the way she would have liked. Kirsty works out that Tom told her and leaves the table upset and angry. Kirsty shares her frustration with Roy who points out she can't keep the baby a secret forever.
