Henry looks forward to Christmas Day, and Tom is on hand to help.

Ruth nervously pops round Rickyard Cottage, which Pip and Toby have decorated for Christmas. Pip's happy to cover the afternoon's milking for Ruth. Ruth reassures Pip she's not happy with Jill over her disapproval of Toby. Later, Pip feels guilty for Ruth's low feeling and Toby offers to be on his own for a bit on Christmas Day. But Pip says no - she's spending the whole day with him. Jill is the one who can feel guilty, not her.

Tom unloads a huge Christmas tree for Bridge Farm and Henry's eager to help decorate it. He asks if his Daddy (Rob) also has one. At The Lodge, Jennifer and Helen chat about panto costumes and the new tenant at Blossom Hill Cottage When Helen calls for Henry, he doesn't reply. Helen rings Tom in a panic - she wants to contact the police. Frantic, Helen snaps at a reassuring Jennifer, just as Henry reappears - he'd been to post his card for Daddy at their old house.

Helen admits she over-reacted, but Tom tells her not to worry. He has been past Rob's apartment and seen all the lights are off. With Rob out of Ambridge, they can enjoy their Christmas knowing that Jack and Henry are safe. Helen tucks Henry into bed, who's excited it's very nearly Christmas Day and she kisses him goodnight.
