With presumed consent now law, everyone in Wales is a potential organ donor when they die, unless they opt out. This three-part series documents a year since the legislation change, with unprecedented access to donor families, and the patients waiting for life-saving transplants at the University Hospital of Wales. Bill has been admitted to intensive care following a devastating stroke. His daughter Karen is asked to share his end-of-life wishes with the medical team. Thirty-two-year-old Kimberley from Bargoed has cystic fibrosis, she's been given months to live unless she gets the gift of a double lung transplant. Robin's finally off to theatre after waiting three years for his kidney transplant.
