Jonathan Edwards presents live coverage of the athletics World Championships from Beijing, China.

Athletics returns to the Chinese capital seven years after it hosted the Olympics and Jessica Ennis-Hill takes top billing on day 2.

The morning session sees Ennis-Hill - who took time out to have a baby since her Olympic heptathlon triumph at London 2012 - complete the fifth and sixth events of the gruelling seven-event challenge.

She and young pretender to her crown Katarina Johnson-Thompson are both tipped to challenge for the podium, and the second morning's long jump and javelin will be crucial in deciding if they make it.
