2014 Ceremony

Following a week of special reports on the contenders for Britain's best new building, David Sillito reports live from central London as the 2014 winner of the prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize is announced by Kirsty Wark and RIBA president Stephen Hodder.

The shortlisted buildings are the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool, the Library of Birmingham, the London Aquatics Centre in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Saw Swee Hock Student Centre at the London School of Economics, the Manchester School of Art and the Shard.
