This time 12 months ago Phil Mickelson was celebrating having lifted the Scottish Open title after a play-off. A week later the American won his fifth Major, and first Claret Jug at Muirfield, to cap a memorable seven days.

Mickelson returns to defend his Scottish Open crown this week alongside two-time Major winner Rory McIlroy in what is a stellar field in Aberdeen.
