Phil Mickelson won the 2013 tournament in a play-off and a week later was lifting his fifth Major title and first Claret Jug at Muirfield. The American returns to defend his Scottish Open crown this week, alongside two-time Major winner Rory McIlroy in what is a stellar field in Aberdeen.
