Scotland Starter

Chefs compete to cook at a banquet to celebrate 25 years of Red Nose Day. Will the winning starter be spiced ham, a warm chicken salad or a rabbit terrine?

Great British Menu is back and the nation's greatest chefs are competing to cook at a special banquet at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate 25 years of Comic Relief's Red Nose Day and celebrate the unsung heroes of charity work. Not only do they have to deliver a performance on a plate to win, they will also have to put a smile on everyone's face. The chefs will also be set fundraising challenges to raise money for Comic Relief. Also, each week a special guest will also join the judging triumviate.

The spotlight is on Scotland. Returning contenders Michael Smith, Tony Singh and Mark Greenaway are all determined to get one of their dishes to the banquet. Will a witty take on spiced ham score highly, or will a warm chicken salad with a twist or a rabbit terrine come out on top?

Veteran judge Angela Hartnett MBE will be judging all week.
