Memory Man

Documentary following Peter Heathwood, who owns the biggest privately-held video archive library of The Troubles which he recorded over a period of thirty years.

Around half-a-million people in Northern Ireland consider themselves to be victims and survivors of The Troubles and Peter Heathwood is one of them. He also owns the biggest, privately-held video archive library of The Troubles which he has personally recorded over the past 30 years. In this intimate documentary, The Memory Man takes us through his own life story and tells us how building his collection has helped him to remember and heal. Through his archive, Peter also connects with other victims as they try to make sense of the past in order to build their future.
