Afia is horrified as Tariq tells her what really happened the night of the fire. When Denise makes a comment to Afia about Yusef, Afia defends her father, but it’s clear she is unsure what to believe. Yusef uses Zainab’s ‘suicide’ attempt to guilt trip Tamwar into worrying about her. When Zainab becomes upset over leaving Tamwar, he eventually agrees to go to Karachi. Yusef smiles when he hears Zainab discuss how devastated Masood will be but it soon fades when he realises that Afia bumped into Tariq. Tariq informs Yusef that the sooner he gets the restaurant the better. Back at the Masoods', Afia confronts Yusef, giving him the ultimatum; tell Zainab the truth, or she will.
When Kat offers a night in with Alfie she is upset when he makes excuses, leading Kat to head for a night out with the girls. Kat knocks back the drinks and loses herself on the dance floor as she swerves Denise’s questions about her ‘happy’ marriage. Ending up alone in a stranger's flat, Kat stays for a drink whilst she waits for Kim. Kat explains she is allowed to do what she wants as long as she doesn’t tell Alfie, but this isn’t what she wants. After falling asleep, Kat rushes home but is hurt when Alfie tells her to have a shower before she gets into bed.
Tanya becomes frustrated with Max, telling him she needs space. Max tells Jane about Tanya’s cancer, Jane cancelling her night out to go and see her. Tanya wells up as she talks to Jane about her fears regarding her illness, glad to have her best friend’s support.
Janine and Michael tell Jack about plans to open up a ladies gym but Janine is shocked when Jack tells her that Michael’s broke.
