Cross of Iron

Wartime drama about a group of disillusioned German soldiers trapped on the Russian front in 1943. One is tired of fighting, but another will stop at nothing to win an Iron Cross.

A group of disillusioned German soldiers are trapped in a hopeless struggle on the Russian front in 1943.

One sergeant is a cynical warrior, tired of fighting for a government he doesn't support and desperate for peace, but one of his compatriots is obsessed with traditional values of glory, and will stop at nothing to win an Iron Cross, the highest German military honour.
