Dark thriller. Two young private investigators (Casey Affleck and Michelle Monaghan) trawl through Boston's seamy underworld in an effort to find a missing four-year-old girl.
Sombre thriller which follows the efforts of two young private detectives to locate a missing four-year-old girl. After police are met with a wall of silence, the girl's aunt seeks the help of the investigators, hoping their local knowledge might compensate for their inexperience. Reluctantly, they take the case and learn that the girl's mother is a drug dealer but, as they scavenge for further clues amid Boston's criminal underbelly, they put their relationship and their morality on the line.
