Scottish comedian John Gavin throws aside the child rearing manuals to take an alternative approach towards raising his own three girls. As US parents extol the virtues of the methods of the 'Dog Whisperer' on their children, John investigates what dog trainers could do for his own parenting style.

What similarities are there between raising dogs and raising kids, and what can dog trainers tell him about handling his girls? Dog behaviourist Lynn Allardyce casts a critical eye over his parenting style. Will her tips give him more control over his kids? John finds out.
