Crime drama adapted from a short story by Raymond Carver. A group of friends on a weekend fishing trip in the Australian town of Jindabyne discover the corpse of a murdered woman floating in the river. They decide not to report it to the police until their return home, which has irreversible consequences on one of the men's family and takes his marriage to breaking point.
