Sitcom about a gifted boy growing up in a chaotic family.

The family tries to cope with more financial strain as Hal goes through a mammoth telephone bill to discover that one of his boys has been calling an expensive chatline number. Hal's attempts to resolve the situation only serve to make matters worse.

Meanwhile, Reese works as a pill-popping guinea pig for a research clinic and a reluctant Malcolm takes on a mortifying job at the Lucky Aide as a costumed Uncle Sam on stilts.
