David and Ruth thank Heather for her help as she leaves for Prudhoe. Later, bored Ruth decides to hose down the parlour but pulls something in her stomach. Fortunately David turns up and takes her back to the house, joking that he's going to have to lock her in the house to keep her out of mischief.

Sid goes to the Dower House under the pretext of collecting some things for Lilian with the page from her diary inside a list of items for collection. To plan, the page drops out and Matt, seeing Lilian's heartfelt words, heads straight over to the Bull.

Meanwhile Lilian gets Matt's letter saying he wants her back. As she's about to go to see Matt, he arrives at the Bull. Sid and Jolene sneak off to leave them to it, although they can't help peeking through a crack in the door to see what unfolds. Matt and Lilian say how much they've missed each other. When Lilian mentions his letter, Matt realises what Jolene and Sid have done, but brushes it aside. He and Lilian declare their love for each other. As Lilian finally leaves the Bull, Jolene and Sid can't believe it - they've got their home back!
