The Grundys have all the fun of the fair.

The Grundys' Christmas fair goes well, with their turkeys as the main prizes in the lucky dip and the raffle. Joe and Eddie have to hide their cider and sloe gin when a local policeman looks in.

Jim tries to get into Shula's good books by buying a large wad of raffle tickets for her. Unfortunately for Shula, her prize in the lucky dip is a turkey. She then wins another in the raffle, and then another! Joe reminds her that she's also ordered one from them - that's four.

Kathy doesn't know how she's going to face Elizabeth. If she thought that Kathy and Taylor were close, then what must the rest of the village have thought? She braves the Christmas fair, knowing she can't hide away forever. But when Clarrie starts talking nostalgically about Christmases past, Kathy heads off sharply.

When Kenton catches up, Kathy tearfully tells him that it was three years ago today that Taylor raped her. Kenton takes her home and suggests she take the week off work - that way she can give Jamie the happy Christmas he deserves. Despite Kathy's protestations, Kenton insists on ringing Elizabeth straight away.
