Kathy finds out who her friends are.

David plans to ask Bert to help out when Ruth's convalescing. They'll ask Eddie to do extra milking and Pip's bound to want to help too. Maybe even Izzy, who's got a new-found interest in farming after last night's disco! Ruth's still working out when best to tell the children. It reminds her of how difficult things were this time last year.

Clarrie's surprised to learn Pat's filled in Adam's questionnaire about the bio digester. Pat explains that she needs to be at the meeting with the renewables consultant in order to be able to challenge him.

Kathy takes Elizabeth's news badly and Elizabeth struggles to explain herself. Kathy's devastated to learn there had been gossip and worries that people are going to think Taylor's telling the truth.

When Kenton learns what's happened, he rushes round to see Elizabeth. He's absolutely furious and Elizabeth desperately defends herself. It turns nasty when Elizabeth retorts that Kenton wasn't around to hear the gossip. Kenton's been dealt a low blow and admits to feeling guilty that it would all have been different if he'd been around. Elizabeth admits to feeling guilty too but insists that all she did was tell the truth.
