Things are looking up for Will.

Brenda gets stuck into working for Matt, who's impressed by her enthusiasm. But Lilian isn't so impressed by the intrusion into her home life.

Jennifer hopes to Lilian that there will be some sort of rapprochement between Alice and Brian before Alice goes to South Africa.

Brian's not pleased when he finds a gaggle of escaped pheasants on the road and tells Will to take care of them. Will asks Brian if he can use the photocopier in the office - he needs to copy proof of ID for something...

Nic's curious when Will says he's got something to tell her, but she'll have to wait to find out what it is. Later Will turns up at Nic's with a celebratory bottle of wine, explaining that he's had a letter from a firm of solicitors in Aberdeen telling him that he's mentioned in Great Aunt Hilda's will. Nic excitedly wonders whether it's a load of money, but Will cautions that it could be something small - like an old teapot! But Nic thinks it's nice to dream and she can't wait to find out what's Will's been left.
