Classic psychological western in which an army officer from Wyoming sets out for New Mexico to investigate his brother's death, only to be drawn into the conflicts of a violent ranching dynasty.

When he arrives in the town of Coronado, seeking the man who sold guns to the band of Apaches that wiped out his younger brother's regiment, he learns the territory is ruled by a tyrannical cattle baron and his evil sons.
