Star!

Musical drama based on the life of stage star Gertrude Lawrence. A young woman set on a career in the theatre lands herself a place in the chorus line of a famous revue. When the manager threatens to axe her scene-stealing performances, an admirer steps in to save the day and later the two wed. But she soon realises that the combination of a career and home life is an uneasy one and sacrifices have to be made.
