Distance takes its toll on Brian and Siobhan.

Wry Elizabeth accepts that Kathy is going to get the refit on her shop after all. Nigel gives Eddie 20 pounds to apologise for misuse of his digger. They have contacted the insurance company.

Eddie is milking at Grange Farm to cover for Ed, who is at the Paris agricultural show with Oliver. Clarrie comes to see him specially, because she knows it will be hard for him. Eddie has worked so hard to make a new living after losing the farm but it's a bitter pill to swallow. He wishes he was still a farmer.

Brian finally gets to speak to Siobhan but he still feels very cut off from Ruairi. Siobhan tells him he can't expect her to let him know about every little decision - but Brian hates to think that he doesn't know what's happening to his son.
