The ha ha stops being funny for Nigel.

Ed bumps into Susan with George outside the shop. Susan puts George down for a minute and he toddles off and falls over. Ed is quick to pick him up and give him a cuddle. What a lovely smile for Uncle Ed, says Susan. Later, in the Bull, Ed tells Fallon how difficult it was for him and how George has grown and changed since they lived together. Fallon is kind but tells Ed that he must start to build bridges between himself and Will, and the Carters.

Kathy bemoans the short-sightedness of her bosses - she has some really good ideas for the shop at Lower Loxley and they don't think they are a priority. Elizabeth tells Nigel she doesn't want the digger parked outside the house when their next delegates arrive, so Nigel says he'll move it himself. Lily, Freddie and Elizabeth watch as he loses control and drives it through the wall of the shop!
