Radio Ulster & Foyle Cover BBC Music Day
With BBC Radio Ulster & BBC Radio Foyle

In Northern Ireland, BBC Music Day began on BBC Radio Ulster/Foyle with Sean Coyle as he broadcast live from Mary Margaret’s outside Hilltown in County Down at 10.30am, with lots of musical performances and lively conversation.
BBC Radio Ulster’s Hugo Duncan hosted a special outside broadcast from The Patrician Hall in Carrickmore, County Tyrone. Listeners were invited to come along for an afternoon of live country music, cream buns and craic from 1.30pm.
At 3pm, Gerry Kelly broadcast live from Parliament Buildings where the Ulster Orchestra and some special guests were rehearsing for the BBC Music Day concert.
From 9pm Radio Ulster and Foyle came live from Stormont.
Bells Ring Out in Northern Ireland

At 7pm on the 3rd June 2016, BBC Music Day, church bells rang out at Holywood Parish Church, Holywood, Co. Down.
