The Linklaters Garden for Maggie’s
Gold medalist

This secret garden designed by Darren Hawkes can be glimpsed through a wooden gate and slots in the perimeter hedge, before being fully revealed from a uniquely elevated position at the back of the garden.

The inspiration comes from the pioneering vision of the late Maggie Keswick, who understood the need for people with cancer to have a private, but welcoming, green space away from a clinical environment.

The open spaces are filled with Roses, Box, Elder and Iris.

The delicate, feminine planting brings a layer of scent and tranquility to the garden.

The garden provides an exciting, unconventional space with a sense of stillness and tranquillity.
