On Friday 3rd June for BBC Music Day Norwich and Norfolk Millennium Library will be hosting concerts across three stages showcasing a wide range of of music from rock and pop to classical and Latin Jazz. Playing through the day will be:

Killamonjambo

Killamonjambo

A sax and trumpet combination playing raw, popping, pumped up slap-happy bass lines punctuated with the stylings of Frank Youngs’ splatocaster specials, and driven along by the most pumped-up dance beats.

Rabo De Foguete

Rabo De Foguete will be performing their unique fusion of Brazilian Samba with Western pop/rock all mashed up together with the excitement, energy and many drummers that come with a samba band!

Sistema in Norwich

Sistema in Norwich works to transform the lives of children and young people through participation in music, helping children realise their potential and succeed across all areas of their lives through engaging them in learning to play a musical instrument and being part of an orchestra.

Meg Bays

Meg Bays will be playing acoustic covers of pop, rock, soul, folk, and RnB as well as a few originals of her own. Meg has played several local festivals, including Latitude, and loves playing acoustic music for the people of Norwich.

The Mighty Guevaras

While newly formed, the four members of The Mighty Guevaras have, in various guises, been playing varieties of Americana for the last decade. They have now met at the crossroads of stomp, shuffle, swagger & shimmy to slide the funky blues.

Maya Law

Maya Law is a hip hop/pop singer songwriter from Norwich who is inspiring the local scene with her original music.

The Dry Tortugas

A Norwich based three-piece bring a slice of Weirdsville, USA to the heart of Norfolk. In Weirdsville, incidentally, everyone listens to a bubbling brew of Southern-fried blues, hip-shaking R&B and corn-crunching country. Plus the Singing Postman.
