Lesson 25
The Queen Mother's Funeral

Karen: There's a lot of people now gathered by the barriers hoping to get the best view of the procession and of the royal family, and there's also music playing... lots of cameras... and... lots and lots of policemen for security, so it's a very unusual day.

Obviously, it's not a person that I knew, only from what we've learned through television and through the media, so we don't have the same personal relationship or feelings. It's a happy occasion to celebrate the life of somebody who's lived for a very long time and played an important part in our history.

I think the reason that I'm here today is, partly, to witness a historic day, if you like, because it's not something that we will ever probably see again in our lifetime.
