Retiring Mike: I'm going to be saying goodbye to what I've been doing for a number of years and I've been doing a bit of that for the last week or so anyway, deleting files off the computer, throwing old paper files into the shredder. But tomorrow I shall have to say goodbye to the people as well, and that'll be the end of it really. It will change the things I have to think about and I suppose it will allow the true me to come out perhaps more, rather than the person you have to be at work. For the last 30 years or so I've been a great fan of skiing and I want to spend much more of the winter actually skiing, much more of the summer in the garden, much more time travelling, much more time reading, much more time with music - things that have got squeezed out. OBJAŚNIENIA retiring - przechodzenie na emeryturę (retirement - przejście na emeryturę) to say goodbye - powiedzieć 'do widzenia', pożegnać się z kimś/czymś a number of years - pewna (spora) liczba lat [things] I've been doing for a number of years - pojawił się tu czas Present Perfect, czynności zaczęły się w przeszłości i nadal trwają
