LESSON 36
Economy class syndrome

Flying economy class is cheap, but it's got its price.

Sitting there, squashed like a sardine, with no legroom to speak of and your knees touching your chest is simply not good for you.

In fact, it's quite dangerous, especially on long-distance flights. You may develop thrombosis - a serious condition caused by a blood clot forming in a blood vessel or in the heart.

You may have paid a low price for your flight, but the danger is that you may collapse on arrival.

So, remember -stretch your fingers and wiggle your toes. Oh, and drink plenty of mineral water.
