Di chief press secretary to di chairman for Nigeria Independent National Electoral Commission -Rotimi Oyekanmi don clear di confusion wey dey ground on top Permanent Voter Card wey pipo no collect before 2019 election.

Mr. Oyekanmi tell BBC News Pidgin say INEC no get plan to burn PVCs wey dia owners never come collect.

Recently, di News Agency of Nigeria bin carry one report say di new Resident Electoral Commissioner inside Ondo State -Dr Rufus Akeju, talk say INEC dey think about to burn PVCs wey dia owner no come collect before next year general election.

But Mr. Oyekanmi talk say dat report no be true and tori pipo no understand wetin oga Akeju talk wen dey ask am wetin INEC go do if everybody no come collect dia PVC before di 2019 election.

E say oga Akeju explain give dem say discussion still dey go on on top di decision wey INEC go take for di PVC mata.

According to Mr. Oyekanmi, 'INEC no go fit destroy wetin dem spend money to do just like dat, di commission go take a decision.'

"Di decision wey dey ground for now about Permanent Voters card wey pipo never collect, na for each Resident electoral commissioners to begin do enlighten program and find ways to reach out to those wey never claim dia own."

"Dem go also try every means to reach di pipo, through telephone calls, advert for newspapers, make announcement or ask stakeholders to tell dia pipo to come collect dia PVC. "
