Authorities keep Comfort Bob for Kirikiri, charge her on five counts including alleged assault

Authorities for Nigeria don charge di passenger, Comfort Emmanson wey chop accuse say she assault airline officials on top Ibom Air Flight go court and she dey custody for Kirikiri Correctional Centre for Lagos.

Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo confam am for statement for im X account say dem charge Emmanson also known as Comfort Bob on five counts of criminal charges including assault and as she no fit provide sureties, dem remand her for prison.

Di minister say Police bin arraign Emmanson on Monday morning for di Ikeja Magistrates Court for criminal offences and remand her for Kirikiri Prisons as she bin o fit provide adequate sureties for court.

Meanwhile, di minister also note say di Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) don ban impose an indefinite flight ban on Emmanson, (both local and international).

Di charges wey reach five include alleged assault.

Comfort wey be di accused passenger never release comment on di allegations wey dem don sama for her head.

Earlier, Ibom Air bin release one statement say dem ban Emmanson from flying dia airline on top accuse say she allegedly assault cabin crew members and security officers during her flight from Uyo to Lagos on Sunday, 10 August.

Ibom Airline tok say di passenger wey dem identify as Ms Comfort Emmanson no behave well and "pose threat serious threat to di crew, passengers, and aircraft while travelling on board from Uyo-Lagos."

"Ibom Air don submit report on di incident to di Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and place travel restriction on Ms. Emmanson, go no longer dey permitted to fly on any of our aircraft," di statement tok.

"While we support di filming of her recalcitrant behaviour as evidence to prosecute her, wetin dey deplorable na to release such evidence containing indecent exposure to di public to ridicule her. E dey totally unacceptable to us.

We no go fold our arms and tolerate di debasing of womanhood. I don therefore direct say make dem single out whoever release dat part of di video containing di indecent exposure among di staff and adequately sanction am."

Di minister also direct make di airlines continue to train and retrain dia staff in public relations and how to deal wit potentially explosive situations in order to stop dem immediately.

"Dis action prompt verbal trade from Ms Emmanson. Di situation eventually calm, and di flight depart as scheduled."

Di airline allege say she physically attack di purser and forcibly comot di wig wey dey her head, her glasses and throway everything for floor, den use her shoe to physically attack di purser.

Ibom Airline tok say she further attack security officers before dem restrain am and hand her ova to di police.

"She slap her several times and wen di oda cabin crew member try to intervene, she slap her too. She den attempt to forcibly remove di fire extinguisher to use weapon, di act fit damaged and ground di aircraft," di statement tok.

"Di arrival of Ibom Air Security personnel, no stop di passenger as she attack dem as well, lashing out violently at both Ibom Air and FAAN security."

Ibom Airline tok say di airline get zero-tolerance for any violent behaviour or conduct wey go threaten di safety of passengers, crew, or equipment.
