Why price of cooking gas still dey high till now?

Pipo for Kano State for northern Nigeria still dey complain say cooking gas price neva drop since early October.
Some report even tok say di price fit go up again. For Kano now, one kilogram dey sell between 1,250 ($0.38) and 1,400 naira ($0.97).
BBC News Pidgin waka round find say di price no be di same everiwia.
As e dey now, 12.5kg cylinder dey sell for 15,625 naira ($10.13) but for refilling places inside areas e dey reach 17,500 naira ($12.17).
Dis one don make pipo dey waka comot from dia own area go anoda place wia dem believe say dem fit buy am cheaper.
One man wey dey stay Sharada Ja'in for Kano tok how e dey leave im area go filling station wey gas cheap pass di N1,400 ($0.97) per kg wey dem dey sell for im side.
"Na becos e cheap pass our area make we dey go outside go buy gas. For our side dem dey sell 1,400 naira ($0.97) per kg, but for here we dey get am 1,210 or 1,270 naira per kg. Na why we dey go look for wia e cheap small" di man tok.
But even wit that small cheap price, e still tok say dem dey spend money for transport go wia dem dey buy gas.
"We need make dem open place near us where we fit buy easily, because if you add transport money, you go see say the price almost the same."
Report also show say for oda part of Nigeria, pipo still dey complain say gas too cost, and dem dey hope say e go come back to di old price wey no pass N1,000 per kilogram.
But plenty pipo believe say dis high price get connection wit the wahala wey happun between Dangote refinery and oil marketers for October.
Last month, report show say di price of cooking gas climb reach level wey e never reach for long time between 1,700 ($0.99) and 2,500 ($1) naira for some areas in di kontri.
Dat time, experts and pipo wey sabi di matter tok say na because of di fight wey happun between Dangote and di association of oil marketers and drivers wey lead to strike.
Di surprise be say, even after more dan two weeks wey dem settle di wahala, i price still no gree come down di way e dey bifor, sometin wey many pipo tink say go make di price stabilize back to 1,000 or 1,200 naira.

Why and wen di price fit comeback normal?
For interview wit BBC News Pidgin, Yakubu Dimka, wey be former auditor for IPMAN, tok say di reason gas still cost be sake of di same Dangote wahala wit some associations for October.
"Wetin make di gas price neva return to how e be before na di strike wey dem do against Dangote. Up till now, the transportation gap never close.
Nigeria dey big, we wey dey North na like the last place, becos for places like Sokoto and Borno di price even high pass " e tok.
Anoda reason be say Dangote trucks neva start to supply di North, na only southern Nigeria dem dey operate for now" Dimka tok.
E still add say na small number of pipo dey supply cooking gas and na another reason why e cost like dis.
According to am, na only about 5% of IPMAN members fit still carry gas and petroleum products since wen President Tinubu remove fuel subsidy.
"Anoda reason be say we no get suppliers like befor when subsidy dey. Now na only 5% dey carry am, and Dangote just start. IPMAN pipo no get money to hire trucks carry gas or fuel again" Dimka tok.
E still tok say "Di new 15% tax wey President Bola Ahmed Tinubu govment put don affect marketers wey dey import cooking gas into Nigeria."
But Dimka tok say e sure say very soon di price go come back to normal or even drop small.
"Befor di end of dis month, cooking gas price go return to normal or even cheaper, because wit di new tax arrangement and petroleum import, Dangote go soon start full operation," e tok.
