I no steal Usifo Ataga laptop - Chidinma Ojukwu tell Court

Chidinma Ojukwu di alleged killer of Super TV boss Usifo Ataga don deny say she steal di man phones and laptops after im death for di short-let apartments dem bin lodge.

Di former 300-level Mass Communication student of di University of Lagos dey stand trial for di alleged murder of Ataga for 2021.

She also dey charged wit stealing and forgery alongside her sister, Chioma Egbuchu and one Adedapo Quadri.

So far, prosecution team don conclude dia case and present all dia witnesses wey come give testimony.

Chidinma continue to give her testimony and defence on Monday for di Justice Sonaike court TBS Lagos to prove say no be she commit di crime.

Wetin happun for court on Monday

Wen di case come up in court on Monday, Chidinma say true true wen dem lodge togeda, Usifo get im own Laptop wey be MacBook Pro 13 inches 2020, while her own na MacBook Pro 16 inches Core i7 2019 edition wit 16 gig ram and 512 gigs SSD.

She say "I get One HP laptop and di Apple laptop"

Di court show am one laptop and she confirm say na her own, say na dat one police recover.

Wen court ask am weda she get proof of ownership of di MacBook, she say yes.

"After police come search our house and scatter tins dia, my family no fit find di receipt" na so she tell court.

She confirm to di court say during her time with Usifo, di deceased carry two phones, one iPhone 8 and iPhone 12.

Wen her lawyer Onwuka Egwu ask am weda na true say she go computer shop to go sell her computer, she say yes.

She tell court say on 18th June 2021, she go phone hub to sell MacBook Pro wey pesin give am.

She say, "na one Mr Fredrick gift me di MacBook Pro but I don loose contact wit di man since I enter jail. Di receipt of di MacBook follow for tins wey dey miss for our house since police come search dia".

Court ask am say prosecution witness PW 5 Mr Saliu Obiora bin tell court say she replace di original pouch of Usifo phone and put fake 1000 naira pouch for di phone?

She respond say, "I bin get dat pouch wen I bin dey use iPhone 11 Pro. I post di phone and dat my pouch for my Instagram handle".

She tell court say her Instagram handle be @Iamdorabie, after dat, her lawyer sample photo shots from her Instagram account and she confirm say dat na di picture wey she bin don post for her handle.

"I no take Usifo laptop and I no see any laptop wen I come back to di room on 15 June 2021" na so she tell court.

Court accept di pictures from her Instagram handle as exhibit.

Apart from di iPhone 11 Pro wey she dey wit wen she dey wit di deceased. She say she carry anoda iphone iPhone Xs, while her iPhone 7 dey for her house.

She say she lost receipts of her oda phones except Xs, She tender copy of di receipt before court and court accept am as exhibit.

Dem give am exhibit P25. She say di bag na her own, tins inside include her iPhone Xs, ATM cards, pad, voters card, syringe, papers etc

Her lawyer tell am say prosecution witness PW 9 Bamidele Oluwasegun bin tell court say from your call log you make about 15 calls from di 13th to di 18th of June 2021 and nine of dose calls na to di second defendant Adedapo Quadri.

She say yes she make those calls to Quadri but na based on unfinished business wey she get wit him.

"Apart from di roofies and loud wey I order, we get some unfinished business wey we need to finish" na wetin she tok.

She explain say she get friend wey bin reach out to her for May 2021 say she wan do international passport and drivers license. (dis na one month before di murder incident).

She say di lady ask am say weda she sabi any pesin wey fit do am as she no wan make dem scam am.

"I tell am say I do my own by myself for immigration office. While we dey tok, Quadri call enter, I answer am cos I bin order some clothes from am. Im tell me say di dispatcher go soon arrive, say weda I don send di money. I tell am to calm down say I dey get network wahala" na so she tok.

According to her, she add di lady and Quadri to di call as Quadri get di connect and dem discuss di business and agree details on how to do di international passport and di drivers license.

She say from May into June, Quadri reach out to her to ask wia to deliver di documents cos dem don ready.

She say di follow up calls happun during di dates wey di court mention.

She also tell court say, "I no forge any bank statement of account. Wetin police find for my house na two bank statements. I no forge my drivers license nor international passport. I do two of dem by myself different years, different times".

Court show am di exhibits and she identify her drivers license, and international passport but add say di drivers license wey carry di name Mary Johnson no be her own.

Court adjourn di case to 6, 7, 8, 14, 16, 20 and 27 October 2025 for continuation of trial.
