Di Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) don give report ontop one incident wey happun for Port Harcourt, Rivers State wia Air Peace aircraft bin run pass di normal distance ontop di runway.
NSIB say wen di incident bin happun forJuly 2025 for runway 21 of Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo International Airport (DNPO) Omagwa, Rivers State, na 103 pesin bin dey on board wit two Cockpit crew and five Cabin crew.
According to di investigation, di Air Peace aircraft bin touch down for distance of about 2,264 m from di threshold of runway 21, bifor e come travel distance of 209 meter into di clearway for final stop.
Di bureau say even though passengers wey dey inside di aircraft no wunjure, dem still carry out investigation ontop di pilots.
"We conduct toxicological test on di flight crew for Rivers State Hospital Management Board, department of Medical Laboratory Port Harcourt on 13 July 2025 and dem test positive for some substances."
NSIB say dia investigation show say di captain and first officer for di aircraft bin test positive for recent 'alcohol consumption' bifor flying.
Meanwhile, Air Peace respond say dem neva receive communication from NSIB ontop di testing of dia crew members.
Di airline say dem dey conduct regular alcohol and drug test for dia crew, but dem no receive any information since NSIB do investigation dia crew.

According to di NSIB investigation report, dem highlight say dem conduct post-incident test wey show say di crew members test positive for some substances.
"Toxicology screening wey we conduct post-incident reveal say di Captain and First Officer test positive for Ethyl Glucuronide (EtG), wey indicate recent alcohol consumption.
"Di Captain also test positive for cotinine wey indicate recent nicotine use."
"Cabin crew member test positive for THC, di psychoactive component wey dey for cannabis."
NSIB say dem dey review dis results under di human performance and Safety Management System (SMS) components of di investigation.
Ethyl Glucuronide (EtG) na di metabolite of ethanol wey dey responsible for alcohol consumption while THC na di chemical wey dey for cannabis.

- Di flight crew dey licensed to conduct di flight and di aircraft get valid Certificate of Airworthiness.
- Di Captain na di Pilot Flying while di First officer na di Pilot Monitoring.
- Weather conditions for di time of di flight dey favourable and di Runway dey dry, visibility dey good, and no significant wind dey reported.
- Di aircraft cross di runway threshold for 200 ft AGL. and di First Officer make at least one go-around call.
- Di aircraft touch down for distance of about 2,264 m from di threshold of Runway 21, and dey unable to stop within di available Runway length and di Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) dey overwritten.
- Toxicological test dey conducted on di Flight crew and dem tested positive for some substances.
