"My daughter score high for last year Jamb exam, dis year dem give am 146. Na di pain make am take her own life".

Dat na wetin Mr Opesusi Oluwafemi wey im daughter take her life after she find out say her Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, result na 146 tok.

19 years old Faith Opesusi Timileyin been dey hope to study Microbiology for university but dat dream no fit come to pass again as she take shortly after she see her 2025 Jamb result.

Faith na just one out of plenti young pipo wey write di 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination - JAMB don since come out to admit say error dey for dis year exam wey record mass failure.

JAMB results for recent years do show a decline in di percentage of pipo wey do well, but di 2025 own bad well-well. Out of 1.5 million candidates wey write di exam, over 50% score below 200, before di exam body chook eye again come see say glitches dey after many complains over irregularities from candidates and Nigerians for social media.

Mr Opesusi tell BBC Pidgin say wetin dem release no be im daughter result, "kids of dis days dem dey feel bad. She bin dey devastated, as she see di result, she bin dey disappointed," na wetin her papa tok.

According to di papa if to say she open up, we for know how to console or give her assurance say hope still dey.

E say dem dey disappointed to find out say she take her life.

Her elder sister Opeyemi Opesusi describe her as pesin wey dey hardworking, humble and dey always tok her mind.

"Wen she begin dey vomit and I ask her, she tell me say she take poisonous substance. Na for di hospital she leave me," na so her elder sister tok.

Faith bin dey with her sister for Ikorodu, Lagos wen di incident hapun.

According to her, di deceased bin get admission last year but due to distance, she no take di admission. She bin wan stay same school wit her oda sister.

She say, "we bin dey eight for our family but now, we don become seven".

Di family don bury di young girl for Ikorodu Lagos, but her papa, mama and family members still dey in shock over di incident as at press time.

JAMB bin release apology to all affected students on Wednesday but dem never make any statement about di deceased.

For statement on Wednesday, JAMB say true-true some kain tins dey wey affect di performance of students during di 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

JAMB oga Prof Ishaq Oloyede apologise to di affected students and Nigerians in front of tori pipo say im go take responsibility for di errors wey happen and promise say dem dey do everything to correct am.

"Wetin suppose be moment of joy don change due to one or two errors," Oloyede tok.

Dis follow many complaint of technical glitches, low scores, and alleged inconsistency for di question and answer during di exam.
