| | We've been pretty surprised at the amount of tributes that have flooded in since the death of Frank Robinson.

One thing is for sure - the people of Nottingham are demanding a lasting memorial to the busker known to most as Xylophone Man.
 | Two weeks before Frank died I was in Nottingham with my girlfriend and I introduced her to Frank and we chatted about how he had been there (outside former C&A, which is now a big chain store here in Spain by the way) since I was a little lad. Anyway, she took the attached photo of Frank and me, which as it happens was my last opportunity to do so. Christopher Goodall Short (Málaga Spain) |
It seems pressure might be having an affect. The leader of Nottingham City Council, Cllr Jon Collins, says there will be a civic memorial to the man. As yet nothing definite has been agreed. But plenty of ideas have been suggested by the people of Nottingham, ranging from statues, naming a tram or a street after him, creating a wind chime, building a giant xylophone that children can play. Artist Debbie Boote is planning to sell her painting of Frank as a limited edition and we've had cartoons of the man as well. | | Frank Robinson © Debbie Boote |
If you have any images of Frank we could include in a gallery, send them here. Read an interview with the man. Xylophone man tributes
