With freezing summers and sultry winters, the planet’s climate is clearly suffering the effects of years of human pollution. With our carbon footprints growing ever greater with each low budget flight we take, maybe it’s time to rethink some of our everyday excesses? In order to investigate how low we can go with our daily carbon emissions, Grainne McElwaine sets out to lower her carbon emissions dramatically for just one day. She uses natural, homemade beauty products, cooks her breakfast from scratch, using only local ingredients and gives up her car in favour of a brisk walk through the Monaghan countryside. Can Grainne make ‘Green’ glamorous?
