The historic house is now home to Mr Edmund and Hon. Mrs Brudenell, who moved there in 1955 after they were married. The couple arrived to find the house in disrepair, but have slowly restored each room to its former glory. The Seventh Earl of Cardigan had previously resided there, at the time he lead the charge of the Light Brigade in the Battle of Balaklava in 1854. The house is built around a courtyard, and has had many rooms added over the years.
