'The water was up to the skirting boards'

Storm Chandra swept across the UK in January 2026, bringing loads of heavy rain and strong winds.

The storm meant lots of homes, roads and schools were flooded.

Ronnie, Molly and Ruby live in Somerset. Their home got so badly flooded that they've still not been able to move back in and are living in temporary accommodation.

We went to speak with them about their experience.
