England manager to stay on after World Cup

England men's football manager Thomas Tuchel says he'll be in charge of the team through to Euro 2028.
He took charge in January 2025 on a deal that was due to run until the end of this summer's World Cup.
Tuchel said he had received so much support from the FA and fans that he "did not hesitate when asked to continue in this dream job".
FA's boss Mark Bullingham said Tuchel's extension would ensure the England squad and staff were fully focused on the World Cup.

Tuchel orginially signed an 18-month contract to see him through England's World Cup campaign
"We know the players are right behind him, and the togetherness within the group is there for all to see," Billingham said.
The 2028 European Championship finals are being hosted by England, Wales, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.
Under Tuchel's management, England scored eight wins in eight matches in World Cup qualifying.
They will play Croatia, Ghana and Panama in their group at the finals.
Tuchel said it was "no secret to anyone that I have loved every minute so far" and that he was "very happy and proud" to continue in the role.

When he got the England job, Thomas Tuchel was already a familiar face in UK football.
As the head coach of the Premier League side Chelsea he won the Champions League, the Super Cup, and the Club World Cup.
And he's got got plenty of experience coaching some of the best international players at club level.
During his time in charge at French club, Paris St-Germain, he coached superstar forward Kylian Mbappé.
He has also coached a number of England's current stars, including captain Harry Kane.
In fact, Kane was signed by Tuchel when he was manager at Bayern Munich and had the best season of his career - scoring 44 goals!
