Why Draco Malfoy is part of Lunar New Year

It's Lunar New Year this month, which means lots of people around the world have been busy decorating their homes.
But this year, Draco Malfoy's face has been appearing on lots of Chinese decorations, as well as memes and fan art on Chinese social media.
It is all thanks to the Chinese translation of his name Malfoy, Ma-er-fu, which also contains the words for 'horse' and 'fortune'.
2026 is the Year of the Horse and Lunar New Year is seen as a time to share good fortune with your friends and family - making the Harry Potter character an unusual symbol for both!
However Draco isn't the only Harry Potter character that's popped up in an unexpected place.
