Mother's Day has been around for hundreds of years. It dates back to the Middle Ages, where a tradition developed of letting people return to their home towns to visit their church and their mum on the fourth Sunday of the Christian festival of Lent.

Back then, it wasn't uncommon for kids as young as 10 to be working full time, so this was a day for families to reconnect.

Over time, this became Mothering Sunday in Britain, and later Mother's Day.

Whether it's by giving flowers, getting crafty and making something or simply saying how you feel in a card, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Mother's Day.

Let us know what you're going to do this Sunday in the comments!
