A number of items which have previously appeared on Doctor Who are going up for sale at an auction.

The long-running BBC science fiction television series follows the adventures of the Doctor, as they travel through space and time to fight villains and protect humanity.

Among the objects up for grabs are the Joy To The World light-up sonic screwdriver used by the most recent doctor, Ncuti Gatwa, and a cracked Tardis from series 13.

The online auction is being held from 3 - 19 February, with some of the proceeds to be donated to BBC Children In Need.

The items for sale span multiple eras of the Whoniverse - featuring material from when David Tennant originally played the 10th doctor, through to his return as the 14th doctor three years ago - and go all the way up to the most recent doctor, Ncuti Gatwa.

Other recognisable pieces include the NSDA4 Dalek, which has appeared in every Dalek story since 2012.

There are also a number of costumes on offer, including clothing worn by Gatwa as well as some items from the Time Lord's companions, River Song (played by Alex Kingston) and Amy Pond (played by Karen Gillan).

Stephen Lane, from the auction house Propstore, explained: "This is a truly special collection that reflects the depth, imagination and enduring legacy of Doctor Who.

"Supporting BBC Children in Need through this sale makes it even more meaningful, and we're excited to offer fans and collectors the chance to own a piece of television history while contributing to an important cause."
