NASA's long-awaited mission to the moon has been delayed.

The Artemis II mission will send four astronauts on a 10-day fly around the far side of the Moon and back to Earth again.

After a successful dress rehearsal - or wet rehearsal- on Thursday, the team were looking at 6 March as the earliest launch date.

But now problems during routine checks will prevent lift off for a while.

What is the problem?

Workers detected a problem with the flow of helium, which is needed for the massive Artemis II rocket to launch.

The problems were detected overnight on Friday.

Helium is used to cool rocket systems and to pressurise fuel tanks, so disruption to the gas is treated as a serious technical issue.
