How far would you go to make a new friend?

Former England footballer, Raheem Sterling's new club decided to move their football training to another country, just so he could get to know his new team-mates sooner.

Last week Sterling joined one of the biggest Dutch football clubs, Feyenoord, after leaving Premier League side Chelsea.

However, he cannot train or play football in the Netherlands until he is given a work permit - which says someone is allowed to work in a country if they are not from there.

As a result, Feyenoord manager Robin van Persie made a big decision in order to help Sterling get to know his new team-mates.

He decided to move the club's football training around 85 miles up the road, to the neighbouring country of Belgium, so that Sterling could gel with his fellow Feyenoord players as quickly as possible.

So, how far would you go to make a new friend?

Perhaps you'd greet them with a big, friendly smile and speak to them to find out more about them?

Maybe you'd sit next to them during lunchtime, or in class, so that they don't feel alone?

Or would you introduce them to your friends or help them feel included by inviting them to play?

Whatever it might be, let us know by leaving a comment below.
