A jury at Nottingham Crown Court was told an earlier row led to a fight outside the Empire bar in Swadlincote
A man has been jailed for life for murdering a teenager following an argument outside a bar.
Dominic Halliday-Fox, 21, from Derby, stabbed Dante Francis, 17, from Leicester, outside the Empire Bar in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, on 10 April.
Mr Francis died several days after the attack which Halliday-Fox had claimed was an "accident".
Halliday-Fox was ordered to serve a minimum of 23 years at Nottingham Crown Court.

Halliday-Fox admitted having a knife but said it was only to scare Mr Francis after punches had been thrown outside the bar.
However, the prosecution argued that CCTV showed he was the aggressor, who had run towards Mr Francis and stabbed him twice.
Prosecutor Peter Joyce QC said Mr Francis was "unarmed and standing still" at the time of the attack.
The court heard how Halliday-Fox was eventually arrested in Derby where armed police found him hiding in a friend's loft.
