Outdoor sculptures, including The Large Horse, go in display in the grounds of Chatsworth House
An exhibition of artwork by the late artist William Turnbull has opened at a Derbyshire stately home.
Paintings, drawings and large-scale outdoor sculptures went on display at Chatsworth House from Sunday.
Mr Turnbull, who died in November, aged 90, is deemed one of the major figures of post-war British art.
The artist, who was born in Dundee, exhibited work all around the world. He served as a pilot in World War II after joining the Royal Air Force in 1941.
After the war, he studied painting and sculpture at the Slade School of Fine Art in London, before moving to Paris in 1948.
There he enjoyed close ties with other artists including Fernand Leger, Alberto Giacometti and Constantin Brancusi.
He was also part of the influential Independent Group in the 1950s, along with Richard Hamilton and Eduardo Paolozzi.
The exhibition will run until June 2013.
