Audiences across England question their candidates in 12 election debates on BBC One tonight 10.45pm

BBC English Regions will stage Election 2017 - Where You Live, 12 Election Debates across England on Tuesday 30 May. Each will be hosted by a BBC presenter and feature a live audience ranging from 30 to 100 people, all having their chance to put their questions to a panel of candidates vying for their vote. The programmes will be broadcast in each region on BBC One, 10.45pm and can be seen again on iPlayer, BBC Parliament with highlights on the BBC News Channel.

Controller of English Regions, David Holdsworth says: “These twelve debates mark an important moment in the General Election campaign. With experienced BBC presenters hosting and live audiences putting their questions directly to the panellists, they represent a chance to hear politicians from different sides, across England, and for audiences to better understand what the election means for their local area.”

The presenters and panel for each BBC English Region are as follows (please note the panellists may be subject to change).

North East and Cumbria

Political Editor Richard Moss is the presenter with panellists:

Yorkshire

The debate is presented by BBC Look North (Yorks) presenter Harry Gration, with six panellists:
