BBC Wales announces 2017 General Election coverage
BBC Wales has today announced plans for its coverage of the 2017 General Election - including ten live audience debate programmes across television and radio.

The election trail will take many twists and turns, no doubt, and BBC Wales’s expert presenters and correspondents will have their ear to the ground to provide audiences with a comprehensive guide to the key election issues.
- Huw Edwards hosts the BBC Wales Leaders’ Debate on May 30 on BBC One Wales as we invite voters from across Wales to put their questions to the Welsh party leaders
- Bethan Rhys Roberts takes to the road for Ask the Leader - a week-long series of special live programmes on BBC One Wales from constituencies all over Wales
- Live rolling coverage of the overnight results on BBC One Wales, S4C, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru, BBC News online and BBC Cymru Fyw.
- Comprehensive campaign coverage - led by a team of expert presenters and correspondents - on BBC One Wales, S4C, Radio Cymru, Radio Wales and the BBC’s mobile and online services.
The comprehensive coverage offers something for everyone with debates, in-depth interviews, analysis and expert opinion on all services and devices between now and polling day on 8 June.

On May 30 at 8.30pm, and with just over a week to go to decision day, Huw Edwards will chair the BBC Wales Leaders’ Debate live from Cardiff with all five main Welsh party leaders and an invited audience from across Wales.

Ask The Leader
From May 22, Bethan Rhys Roberts takes to the road to host a week-long series of live audience debates with senior figures from the five main Welsh parties from different locations all over the nation. It’ll be an opportunity for audiences to put their questions directly to the leaders and test whether their manifesto promises to add up.
The series of five half hour shows will form part of an hour-long programme including in-depth interviews with UK party leaders, hosted by Andrew Neil. The first programme will be broadcast on BBC One Wales on May 22 at 7pm.

Election night coverage on BBC One Wales
After the polls close, join Bethan Rhys Roberts, BBC Wales Political Editor Nick Servini, Felicity Evans and Arwyn Jones as the results of the General Election unfold and the political landscape becomes clearer. The programme, simulcast on BBC Radio Wales, will feature live results, expert views, interviews with the successful and losing candidates and graphics analysis.
Election night coverage on S4C
Follow the latest news and results on June 8 and into June 9 with Dewi Llwyd and BBC Wales Welsh Affairs Editor Vaughan Roderick, as they host the programme on S4C. The programme will keep viewers and listeners of BBC Radio Cymru up to date with the latest results, expert views and interviews as well as analysis.

Throughout the election campaign, our daily news programmes will be following the journey to the polls, visiting the main battlegrounds and lifting the lid on some of the day’s political headlines.
BBC Radio Wales
Jason Mohammad will be interviewing senior representatives from all the Welsh parties on his morning show in the lead up to polling day while the Good Morning Wales team will be on the road, taking the pulse in local communities across Wales.
BBC Radio Cymru
Our Hawl i Holi election editions will be broadcast on May 23 and 30 while all three of the station's news programmes, Post Cyntaf, Taro'r Post and Post Prynhawn will also be out and about in local communities taking and in-depth look at the issues that matter to voters.
Campaign coverage on S4C
Earlier in the campaign, Pawb a’i Farn, hosted by Dewi Llwyd, will have two election specials on S4C on May 18 in Bangor and May 25 in Maesteg.
And throughout the campaign, at 10pm on Tuesdays, O’r Senedd will have analysis of the latest twists and turns from the campaign trail and Vaughan Roderick will offer his unique take on how the general election campaign plays out during First Minister’s Questions at the Senedd.

BBC News Online
BBC Wales’s online election coverage will offer political news and analysis on desktop, mobile, tablet, the BBC News and BBC Cymru Fyw apps, as well as on social media.
It will offer individual pages covering stories and information and candidate information from each of the Welsh constituencies. Key moments during the campaign will be covered by live pages featuring text updates, tweets, TV and radio clips.
On election night, our services will offer multimedia live pages, results, rumours and expert analysis and we will be reflecting the latest developments across Wales on the @WalesPolitics Twitter account.
