Your ThoughtsIan spoke to motor racing fans at the Silverstone circuit to find out what they had to say about the F1 Grand Prix move. "It's absolutely fantastic, I can't wait for it." "It's disgusting! We've spent so much money in this area and there aren't many more improvements to be made, yet the place they are going to they will have to knock down and improve all the roads around it. It just doesn't make sense!" "Excellent! It's a great track, they've made some improvements and they're going to be doing some more so it'll be great!" F1 ReturnsDonington Park will see the pinnacle of motor racing return to the iconic East Midlands circuit after a 17-year absence. ![]() Lewis Hamilton at Donington Park The venue last hosted F1 in 1993, when Ayrton Senna drove one of his greatest races to win the European Grand Prix. "Donington's development plans will give us exactly that, a venue to put British motorsport back on the map." Ian was amongst a hundred thousand people at roaring Silverstone. He definitely enjoyed watching very fast F1 cars, hearing loud screeching and smelling tyres burning. "Donington Park can expect one of the most atmospheric, adrenaline pumping sporting experiences I've ever seen." last updated: 10/07/2008 at 15:13 You are in: Leicester > Places > Places Features > Hamilton on Donington Grand Prix |
